Ae Factory Service - Repair Review

I have a GE profile side by side refrigerator been without frig for 1 month .. And w/ 3 kids not fun..... Called to be serviced .. Waited 2 wks ... No luck , service guy didn't know what was wrong ... Had a 2nd tech come out week later .. And it's the compressor .. Order the part wait another 2 wks , have it serviced ... Guy was here for 2 1/2 hrs busted his but, didn't say a word walked out and said "it's good " next day broken again ... Called to schedule Appt horrible , loud, disrespectful, and unprofessional ! Aweful !! What happen to costumer service ... Basically suck it up and deal attitude from customer service rep.... Nice .....3,000$ product thanks GE..Sears and AE ;(

INCOMPETANT, PASS THE BUCK SPECIALISTS

ONLY 100 WORDS? SINCE JULY 2014, IT'S A TOSS UP NISI OR A& E. REPAIR SERVICE COMPANIES ARE THERE TO WEAR YOU DOWN WHILE SAMSUNG AND OTHER PRODUCTS REFUSE TO HONOR THEIR WARRANTIES. THEY AND THE BOX STORES WILL NOT DO THE RIGHT THING. I JUST BOUGHT A NEW APPLIANCE AND WILL NEVER BUY FROM A BOX STORE AGAIN! THEY HAVE HOMES TOO, GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL. KARMA'S A #@!$^# BTW, MY CABINETS AND FLOORS WERE FLOODED AND MY A&E REPAIR MAN REFUSED TO STAY ANY LONGER, (3 1/2 HOURS WAS ENOUGH FOR HIM, THANKS DARREN ! GOOD LUCK ON YOUR NEXT JOB. Prepare to waste time waiting for arrival

i was asked by friends asked to meet the tech at their home between 10&2 and was advised that i would get a call when he was en route. the tech showed up at 3 (per note left on the door) without calling me. if he called my friend, he did not leave a message for her to call me to go to the house. i called the number provided and it took much repeating myself to say that i was calling on behalf of ... while being asked for MY name, address, etc and told that i was not in the system. when i got a return call to schedule, i relayed that no one was notified that someone was coming, and got a response admitting that calls are not always made. i emphasized the need to call for the rescheduled appointment and that it would save all involved a lot of time.

Brand new samsung tv stopped working after 2hrs. A&E failed. AMAZON fixed

Purchased tv from Amazon, installed, watched for 2hrs, turned off and went to bed. Next evening went to watch tv and it would not turn on. 7/1/14 Called samsung, they arranged for a service company to call us within 24hrs.(A&E) 34hrs later my wife calls again to find out the repair order was sen to the wrong place. My wife was able to schedule repair for 7/9/14. Between 1-5 pm. We live in fairbanks alaska and wanted the phone number to the office which the tech would be coming from so we could talk to them and explain what was happening and how to get here. They absolutely refused to do this. I believe the call center is in Boca Raton Florida so I am guessing nobody there knows anything about fairbanks alaska, we were also told that we had to remove the tv from the wall, I said the mount that it's on will allow it to pull out two feet from the wall so you could work on it from behind without removing it. I was told in no uncertain terms that the tech would leave immediately if the tv was still mounted when he arrived, again it would be nice if you talk to the guy who is going do do the work. So here we are 7/9/14 my wife takes a half day off work and waits,waits,waits the tech turns up at 5:30, the first thing he said " why did you take it down" rrrrrrruh! Then has to check to see if the screen is broken, looks at model & serial numbers, looks at his computer, and says we have the wrong model number, my wife had told the call center this info and confirm it to them not once but twice, so how do we have the wrong model number, A&E has it wrong! Then we are told this is a C.O.D. Call and would have to pay before he could order any parts. I thought samsung was paying. My wife was so mad and frustrated but kept her cool, told the tech we were not paying anything so we are canceling this call now. Then called AMAZON they were just great, less than five minutes, they are sending a new tv, we put the broken one in the new box and return it, all at no cost to us, because My wife has a amazon prime membership. Everybody needs one of these this is what service is all about. I will now be doing a lot more business AMAZON and no more business with A&E

Rude Service Manager

I called yesterday afternoon to get more a closer time frame than "all day" because I do work, and I have to *** work to come home to let the repairman in the house. They told me that they could not give me one because the route had not been scheduled. Told me to call in the morning at 8:00 a.m. and they could give me a closer time. So I called at 8:00 a.m. The first lady I talked to said that she couldn't give me a time frame, but told me the route of the repairman. I said the guy is going further and further north of approximately over an hour and a half drive from me and he's going to have to turn around and come back here, where in his first stop he would have been 15 minutes from me. She said that she would rescheduled it for Saturday, and I said I won't be home Saturday. She said that we are normally in your vicinity on Tuesday, and she said wait a minute today is Friday, how did this happen? I said I don't know. I called Lowe's and they talked to someone and set up the time. She put me on hold. She came back and told me that her customer service rep (or whatever her title was) wanted to speak to me. This person's name was Cindy. I asked her if there was anyway that she could give me just a "ball park figure" or something closer than an " all day time frame". She said no she couldn't. I told her that this repairman is only like 15 minutes from where I live, and she said I don't do the repairman's routes. I said fine, but I need to know a closer time. She said that there was no way she could do that, and that I would have to just wait from the man to call me, and that was the best she could do. I told her to just forget it. If she couldn't do any better than that, that I did NOT want A & E to EVER send someone to my home for any kind of repairs or anything as such. I told her that I would file a complaint with Lowe's, and I did. Cindy needs to get her a job that she enjoys, and it should not be in customer relations. I have never had anyone as uncooperative as she was on trying to get a simpler time frame than "all day". So therefore, I missed close to 2 hours of work because of her uncalled for nonsense! Now I have had to reschedule another repair date (it definitely was not with A & E), which will cost me some time off work because of this nonsense.

Rip off artist.

LG refrigerator repair. $95.00 dollars for estimate plus $139.00 labor for 10 minutes of work. They then charged $67.00 for a $20.00 part. Good work if you can get it. The web site says there is no estimate charge if you okay the repair, but they refused to honor this and said i miss understood the meaning of 'no extra charge'. Ask what the labor rate is before you hire anyone. As a part of sears, a and e and sears has seen my last dime. LG mobile repair was unavailable so LG suggested A and E Factory repair. Not cool LG.

Once again another customer has misunderstood how pricing works. A&E charges a service fee or diagnostic fee.

Which is usually $65.00 to $75.00, if you refuse the repair then you are charged the fee. If you accept the repair the diagnostic fee is waved then you just pay for the labor and parts. As far as parts go, how did you know it cost just $20.00? Is it a OEM part?

Its called mark up, if you go to store and buy stuff its marked up. How do think business make money. If you are so smart,why did you not order the part your self???

Also $139.00 for a fridge repair is cheap. A&E usually charges $160 to $280.00 for a fridge repair, depending on the repair.

I was recommended via AHS. The technician shown up late, left a message on my door "sorry I was not there to accept the service". Once I returned home and found the note was placed on hold for greater than 40 minutes. Asked for the number to corporate office and was refused 9/22/2014

Ae Factory Service - Repair Review

I just had to tell technician to get out of my house because he wouldn't do what I asked to to do. He was rude, belligerent, and back talked me like I was one of his kids. I asked him to check the dryer rollers because they were making the identical noise the dryer made a few months earlier and the rollers were replaced then. This company sucks!! We have spent well over 2,000.00 dollars in just a half a year in repairs to our washer and dryer. No sooner is one repair job "done" then something else goes wrong. These are high end front loader LG machines, and we shouldn't be having as many problems with these machines as we have! PISSED!!

Broke fridge

been without a fridge for one month teck keeps changing times he will be out to fix while no one is home,,,,,..... had parts at my house to fix for two weeks,,, we schedule time to fix and they change the time and day without telling up wtf they really suck .they have ordered parts that was not needed then said it might be compresser has been .. shiped to house been here for two weeks still sitting on kitchen table they said will try that. this is an ext warranty set up by hhgregg,,,,,, bad call hhg may lose buisiness how does this company stay in buisiness?

I USED to work for them. I tell anyone I know to never ever use them. I got out of there and am thrilled I did.

Too pissed for words, clothes still LOCKED IN WASHER. Instead of the new pump being installed now is the motherboard but can't get time to come and get the wet clothes out and we can't opened the door.

They put a new pump on 8-9-14 but the tech DIDN'T CHECK TO SEE IF THE WASHER WORKED & LEFT.

Now have to wait for another tech to come out & if motherboard another 7-10 days for another part, then another service call.

Ae Factory Service - Repair Review

My GE Monogram built in frig went out. Thought it was still under warranty so I called GE. They gave me AE Factory Service for repairs. Well it has been 12 days later and supposedly they are coming out today. Did not tell me on first service call that ordered parts come to the home. If I had known, I would have discussed sending it to an alternate address as we do not get mail delivered at our home. I have made calls and get the same BS from people who do not speak English decently. All calls go to Texas. No help. Please contact the better business bureau in regards to this company. It is an absolute nightmare..................

Ae Factory Service - Delivery Review

Here it is 25 days later and still no washer. Said part is on back ordered and no date as to when it will ship. They lie to you every time you call. Saturday I called and the part was extradited and today Tuesday, it's on back ordered. The 800 number keeps calling us to call them back to make an appointment for the service call to put the part in. They did not know what they are doing! Don't use them.

I'm in tears

I am a 52 year old reasonable, level-headed, calm woman and Sears and a&e factory service have me sitting here actually crying over a dryer repair appointment! What a zoo! Just stay clear of them. No more business from my family! This is the third day that we have tried to have someone come out to service our dryer that we bought from Sears. Yesterday, I was told to call this morning to find out a two hour time frame for the service. I was told he would be here between 1:00 and 3:00. I arrived at my son's house at 12:40 and found a note that the man came at 11:45. I called a&e and was told they would try to get in touch with the service man, whose number is 0195974 and the man would call me back. An hour later, no call. I called Sears and was told the time frame was between 8:00 and 5:00. When I told them I called this morning and was told it would be between 1:00 and 3:00, he then said the service man called Sears to change his time to between 10:00 and 12:00. No one called except to leave a voice message on my son's phone that he would have to reschedule. The other number they had was mine (they wanted two) and I have yet to receive any call of any kind. Sears and a&e should be ashamed of the way they do business!

Broke Fridge home warranty

A & E sears is a ripoff company the Technician Dale # 597948 called us in the am and asked if we had the money yes it didn't sound right but are you coming to fix the fridge he said yes all he did was open the door and said since there is no serial number he cant do anything he didn't even try to see what was wrong even is it didn't have a serial number he could have tried to tell us what was wrong they will take your money and wont do the work their number is 180******** do not call this company for nothing

Then its a call collect no billing allowed. Was is it a serial number or model number? If the model number can't be found, if parts have to be order there is no way to order the parts without the model number.

If the tech can't read the serial number or model its probably a old fridge. Maybe he was doing you a favor.

A&e service works for sear and they are always busy and take for ever to repair your. Appliance first they come out after a week and look at it .Then they order a part and install something and tell you give it a few hours and it will work .

Well still broken so called them and they say well they are busy so hard t will be a few days and then they send another man who is from Johnstown and he looks at it and says well its the motor so he has to order it and it will be a few days and when it get here to your house call and I will be here to fix it .so part is here and we called the number and they said they are busy and can't send anyone until 27 th 12 more days and have been without frig for 8 days and food is all defrosted and got to go another 12 days had insurance for 41 years and sears has gone down hill with this company . Sorry to say this but they suck .

My service call was cancelled because the technician was sick. Their customer services dept called my husband inadvertently from a past service call years ago instead of calling me, which I was the one who initiated this repair service call.

He was working while I wait at home for the 8-5 window they gave me. They left him a message that they needed to reschedule. I called to only find out their next available appointment was a week away. Not good enough.

I had to take a day off work only to be told I would need to *** another day. Furious I couldn't get anywhere with the less than professional rep, I hung up.

I decided to call back to speak with someone who could help only to be hung up on not once but twice. First time the rep placed me on hold without asking me to hold and came back and ended the call. Second call I requested immediately to speak with a manager or someone in charge.

The rep was very rude like she felt I needed to explain my situation all over again. After placing me on hold as if I were being transferred to a manager, I was hung up on yet a second time.

Next I called and requested a manager and was put through after 25 minutes on hold. I actually felt like they were trying to deter me from escalating the call.

What they call a manager is seriously a joke! The rep/manager didn't even try to sympathize. Rebutting back that the call was cancelled and she would have to get a rep on to reschedule. She of course said she would remain on the line to get me scheduled even after I told her a week away wasn't going to work.

Well, she ended up transferring me to another useless rep. There was nothing they could do to get an appointment earlier than a week away. Un-interested in what I had to say in how I wasted a day and time off work, the rep kept stating that's the only day they had.

I will NEVER use or recommend A&E and in fact I will make sure to spread the horrible customer service experience I have had in hopes less people have to write similar stories. There service representatives are held to no standard to provide a decent if even appropriate level of customer service.

Power button broke loose from inside of control panel

June 14, 2014 had repair man from A&E Factory service show up and look at the dryer. Gives me an estimate for $458.00 for a power button, no explanation. Major attitude, unprofessional and had an obvious grudge against his employer. Refused to take a personal check and asked for a CC. Told him I didn't use credit but my Fiancé was willing to pay for it. Called my Fiancé and asked the guy to get one the phone with him, he refused and said he could not take CC over the phone. I explained to him that he was 100 miles West of me and that it was impossible to get the card at the moment. After going around for a bit he said I had to pay $65.00 for the service call. I did and he left. I called the office and they told me none of this would of been a problem if he had called. I called the place I bought the appliance from and they called A&E to complain, as they have service contact with them. A&E says "Sorry" and they reschedule and are suppose to give me a $65.00 credit. June 19th a different guy comes out, more professional and explains everything to me. Give me an estimate for $469.00? I asked about the credit and he says, yes you only have to pay $389.00. He orders the Control Panel and leaves, telling me to call back when the part arrives. Part arrives on the 24th, I call and get an appointment for June 26th. June 26th same guy comes back out and does the repair then asked how I was going to pay for it! I am like I did, you said it had to be paid in full before you ordered the part! He says I have a $79.00 balance! HUH! Suddenly they forgot about the credit and added an additional $14.00 on the bill. I called the office, put the guy on the phone, he puts me back on the phone and the woman says "Fine we will waive the $79.00 balance" WHF there is NO balance! I go around and around. Then I ask him how he is handling the 20% off coupon I printed off Sears.com (that's 20% off parts & labor) that he didn't know how to do the last visit so he talks to her about that. She comes back on the phone with me and again tells me she is waiving the $79.00 and ILL get a Credit Slip for $31.19! I ask where did the $31.19 come in because 20% off the bill is like $94.00! After 1/2 hour of talking myself blue I hang up on her and call another # only to be told to call again in the morning after all the paper work gets in the system. BTW no instructions on the Credit Slip as to where to mail it or anything! Ill call tomorrow but I know I will be even more pissed if they don't give me the credit I am entitled too. They run a very deceptive business, numerous 1-800 and 1-877 numbers and a direct line # always someone different, with little or no Customer Service skills whatsoever. I would NEVER contact this company for service in the future on any thing. BTW they are a division of Sears & Roebuck and I have done business with Sears for 40 years but it stops here. There is a reason they went under.
