It took 3 service calls to diagnose bad belt on a 8 month old Maytag dryer.

1 service rep actually blamed the noise on one of our kids toys getting behind unit/drum ( he did not take drum out...just moved more noise...therefore it must be fixed. when the 3rd rep came back due to complete failure. it was part of the belt that was behind the drum

Now not only does A and E not have the common part ( a belt part 8544742) in stock part but it is on back order and they have no idea when it will be available. and gave me whirlpools number to call to find out my self.

I was able to locate it in 10 minutes online and have it shipped over night. they also are giving me a hard time about reimbursement.

lastly A and E did not call when the part was on back order.

techs that came did admit that they are "other" types of specialist... IE refrigeration specialist... not dryers.

plus many other minor issues with this simple fix.that is taking 4 weeks..
