My Kitchenaid Diswasher broke 13 months after I purchased it. So I contacted Kitchenaid for a repair referral.

This was an on-line contact and the appointment for repair was initially made on line. Later it was rescheduled by phone by A & E appliance repair (for one week later). The appointment was for between 1:00 and 5:00 PM today. I explained to the company that it would be helpful to limit the time I have to wait because I am in treatment for cancer.

At 3:00 PM the repairman called to say he would be here at 4:30 PM. I said to him "Then you won't be able to repair it because you won't have the parts." He said "I have all the parts on the truck." So he shows up at 4:30 and within two minutes says "I will have to order the parts." I said "That's what I told you!" So then he wants me to pay him $115 for coming to my house plus the cost of parts before he does anything except look at it for two minutes. I refused. I said, "You call me with the price of the parts and I will give you a credit card number for the parts, and I will pay for the installation after you actually do it." (I wasn't paying for two visits or maybe paying and never seeing again with no work done!) He refused.

That was it. I sent him away. His demeanor was also pretty aggressive and abusive and if I had been truly elderly, or even sicker than I am, I probably would have been intimidated and frightened and paid him as he demanded, for doing nothing. WHAT IS KITCHENAID AND WHIRLPOOL THINKING USING THIS KIND OF SERVICE?!!!

A & E 800-905-****. AND I LOOKED AROUND ON LINE.

I AM NOT THE FIRST, BUT THE FIRST OF MANY, TO HAVE A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY. I would not purchase again from Kitchenaid or any company that would refer to this kind of repair service.

Thanks for suggesting filing a complaint to BBB and Consumer Affairs. I am doing both. We should all do this and put this shody A&E out of business.

I am also having trouble with this company. It tooks 2 months to get my Freezer repaired and now another 2 months to get the Washing Machine repaired. Back and forth, ordering parts and taking forever to come back to install them.

I had A&E out to look at a SamSung refrigerator, the repair man said $700-800 to fix! But he would be happy to come pick up the fridge if I was just getting rid of it!

My husband called the company and for an additional $35 they would send out another repair to confirm the repair!

Stay away.....far away!!! This company is shady

Mine as worse than your service. Two nos shows, twice came and didnt fix.

One male. tech was beligerent Paid service call for top of line refrigerator still not working worst company i ever dealt with.

Horrible service. Can't believe they are still in business.

First time they said they would come between 8-12. Didn't show til 2:30 and not one communication from them. The they were to come another day 1-5. I called to see what time about 2.

They said 4:30-5. At 5 I got a call from their service guy who said he was running late and would show at 6. No show.

Called the company and they informed me he had gone home for the day and they could reachedule me in another week. They should be blacklisted by the BBB

I set up an appointment over a week ago for a service repair on 07/20/13 well A&E we were told by Home depot that A&E cancelled appt on 7/20 and rescheduled 7/27 with no reason or comments. The home depot agent tried to see if there were any other appts were other service centers there were none only A&E .

So she said we could call A&E to see if they could get us sooner. Well nope there were none. A&E repsaid they never cancelled the appt and rescheduled.There Rep was rude and told me this was the scheduled appt and it never was the 20th.I asked for an earlier appt she said that the 27th was the earliest. I asked for a supervisor and the rep out me on hold for like 30 secs then hung up on me.

I called home depot and told them what happened they couldn't believe it and tried to see what we could do . We need to call authorization center and they can ok a vendor repair we can take it to or have them come out. I called LG about the washer and they told me a appliance repair close by the recomend. i now have to wait til monday to call the authorization center to ok the appliance repair company.

Make sure never to go thru A&E repair for any appliance repair! :(

I am builder of high end homes, Kitchen Aid/ Whirlpool are the worst with service. it is a nightmare of continuous holding, pressing 1 and being told how important my call is.

After hours of on hold, you will get disconnected and have to start again.

i am not sure anyone has ever actually received a warranty service call from this company.

Purchased a washer from Lowe's 8-25-12. A & E was the designated service provider for the washer.

They never show up to make the repair. They came out the first time about six weeks ago, order parts which have been delivered to my home and I have been on their schedule for parts replacement three times. I stayed out of work, stayed home all day on Saturday and then get a RECORDED message that they cannot come and I have to call and reschedule and of course the rescheduled date is ALWAYS 7-10 days away and then they do not show again. I'm still waiting on the washing machine to be fixed.

If you can avoid A&E, please do. Sorry customer service!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased a Maytag through Assurance Insurance who HIRE A/E to do the repairs. My washer broke down and A and E gave me 3 different appointments and each time the said they would arrive between 8am and 12 pm. or 1:00pm and 5:00. In addition to breaking the appointment they report that the customer was not availble. I am writing their corporate office to complain.

This company is terrible. Failed to show up for a scheduled refrigerator repair appointment after stringing me along about arrival time. Wouldn't let me escalate to a supervisor, instead routed me around their phone tree.

This company is full of incompetence. I purchased a Kitchenaid double oven range and the thermostat in both ovens are quite off. It's been a frustrating pattern of errors. I am beyond livid because you have to try to be this terrible with customer service.

1. Appointment scheduled between 8am - 1 pm. It's now 2:00pm so I leave, I receive a call at 2:10 stating that they were 25 minutes away. The technician wants to see my owner's manual. Really??? You don't think I read that before I made a service call? He finally acknowledges that my thermostat is off. He orders a part and reschedules an appt. in 2 weeks.

Appointment 2. The technician arrives within the window and says that the wrong parts have been ordered and will reorder correct parts. He forgets to set up an appt. in two weeks so I have to call their customer service to arrange this.

Appointment 3. The correct parts have arrived and the appointment is scheduled between 1 - 5. At 4:40pm, I receive a call that they are behind and will arrive in 45 minutes. Okay, so I wait and wait and wait. At 8:00pm, I realized that I've been blown off. No call, no thing.

This morning, I call screaming at Sears and A & E. They could care less, just a bunch of empty meaningless "I'm sorry" in their drone like apathetic voices.

I'm never buying Kitchenaid ever again.

A & E should be out of business. I'm filing a complaint with Consumer Affairs.

I could offer up a bunch of similar specifics to my situation. But the rest of you have said what needs to be said, Thank you Disgusted for the suggestion of filing a complaint with Consumer Affairs.

I suggest EVERYONE who has filed a post here do the same.

If you don't have to use them DON'T!! I took off the morning because they were suppose to be here between 8 and 12 it is now around 1 and I just got a call that from the repair man that it will take an hour.

I now will not be able to go into work and have lost an entire day! I could have gone into work for the morning at least and been here for the afternoon.

The only reason I am using them is because it comes with the hhgregg special warranty I bought! The office has NO idea what is going on!!

A large number of Americans are starting a movement boycoting poor customer service company's, the 3 we have pin pointed on a large amount of complaints, making repair appointments and not keeping them are,just poor service is Sears/A+E Factory service and Whirpool who own a share of A+E Factory service, Boycot there stores,there service departments and there products.We have put up with there rotten waqys long enough.
