Whirlpool dishwasher (6 months old) wouldn't drain. Whirlpool warranty center sent out A&E Appliance Repairman and he misdiagnosed not once but twice and the 2nd time out was a repair female and she even argued with me.

Then she told me to call a plumber, that it wasn't a dishwasher problem but a plumbing problem. Plumbers came out, it cost us $160 out of pocket, and they said it was a dishwasher pump that we needed. Called Whirlpool and they sent out Dutch Maytag repair and he diagnosed correctly and replaced the pump. It now works fine and A&E refused to reimburse us $160 for a misdiagnosis and we went a month without the dishwasher during Christmas and New Year's.

Don't EVER use A&E - they are incompetent and argumentative and rude! And they both reeked of cigarette smoke when they entered my home.

Monetary Loss: $160.
